Just call me a slacker

Just call me a slacker

I’ve been slacking off as far as posting goes, I know, not that anyone out there in the blogosphere really notices (much, if at all), but I know and I’m trying to work out some type of schedule for posting on here and on my vlog.

Truth is, I’ve been busy getting my new Domino A5 Filofax, or as I call it my Writerly Life Filofax. Not only have I organized it so that it helps me keep track of appointments, bills, life stuff (like goals, etc), but writer stuff as well. I’m so excited about it, The 2015 A Writer’s Year that my husband got me for Christmas stays at my desk so I can keep up with my writer stuff, but when I’m out and about, or in the living room, or out on the road, or writing somewhere else, etc, I wanted to be able to keep up with my writerly stuff as well. Things like my Writerly Goals, Writer Resources, Quotes, Word Count, Ideas, etc. And I am in the process of decorating it with all of that in mind.

I’ve also been taking a long hard look at my past NaNoWriMo’s, including the Camps, along with my WIP’s (yes that is plural), and what has kept me from completely finishing a novel. Not just writing one from beginning to end, but to the point where I revise. REVISing a novel is the next step and I have yet to get to that point, not really. I’ve revised as I’ve went. I’ve revised chapters, acts, but not a whole novel, not in a very long time.

SO this year is all about a few long term goals, big goals, and some smaller ones.

  • I will finish a novel this year: plan, research, write, and revise (edit) so that I can have it ready for beta readers.
  • I will organize my writerly stuff (including my desk–WHOA, are you sure you want to do that? YES, I NEED to.)
  • I will organize the house, including the closets.
  • I will write at least 50-1000 words a day, or at least do something writerly every day.
  • I will celebrate and reward myself with small things for making the small goals, and talk to Mr. Rockstar about rewarding myself with a new computer next year if I meet the big one’s.
  • I will stay motivated and inspired, which means taking breaking from writing sometimes, as well as joining a writer’s group, journaling, and reading.
  • I will post on my blog and vlog at least 2 times per week.

So far, I’m off to a decent start, Except for the blogging part. I’m working on it. Life, like writing a novel, is a work in progress,
